Make a note of our next Show - Saturday 1st September 2018!

After last year's "wash-out" due to torrential rain, this year's weather was glorious and crowds flocked to the Show to see everything that was on offer. This included show jumping, livestock, horticulture, poultry and rabbit displays as well as locally made crafts and produce, handicrafts and flower arranging. Children enjoyed bouncy castles, zorbing, a bungee trampoline, and there was a range of win-a-prize stalls, trade stands, food and refreshments. Other attractions included pony rides by Throstle Nest Riding for the Disabled, a large police tractor, fun dog show and ferret racing.

Our 2017 Main Ring attraction was the return of DANGEROUS STEVE. He is one of the most experienced outdoor attractions on the circuit. Steve started presenting his motorbike stunt show age six!  It was non-stop, thrill-a-minute with Dangerous Steve’s Fire and Chainsaw juggling, Giant Unicycle, Ladder Balancing and Blindfold Motorcycle riding in an hilarious and dynamic act full of sensational stunts.

New for this year was SWALES IN THE DALES demonstrating their unique and personalized stone carving.  These Yorkshire stone masons have experience in hand carving a wide variety of commissions using traditional tools.

Also by popular demand, returning for a second year, was the
SHEEP ROAD SHOW. Set on its own special unit,
it is great fun and an educational look at sheep and their wool.

There were other popular favourites including the City of Bradford Pipe Band, Terrier Racing, Vintage Tractors & Cars, West Riding Woodturners, and Heavy Horses.

The Yorkshire Dales G-Scale Society staged an impressive Model Railway Display, and "Talons" brought along their static display of BIRDS OF PREY.

We would like to thank all sponsors, members, exhibitors, and other supporters for their continued help and support, as without their contribution, we would not have a Show to present for the public’s enjoyment. Also a big thank you to all those who give up their time throughout the year to put together all the arrangements for the Show, and to those who spend a week setting up the show field and clearing up afterwards!
